What is a Sanctioned League?
Sanctioned leagues adhere to the rules and regulations set by the USBC, ensuring a fair and consistent experience for all participants. To participate in a USBC-sanctioned league, you typically need to become a USBC member. Sanctioned leagues often use certified averages to calculate handicaps, which help level the playing field for bowlers of different skill levels. USBC certification is often required for participation in many local, state, and national bowling tournaments. The USBC also ensures that bowling balls, pins, and other equipment used in sanctioned leagues meet certain standards to maintain fairness and competition
